After Rahm Emanuel Tried To Make Chicago ‘Trump-Free,’ His Boss Says, ‘Nope!’

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel proposed an ‘immigrant’s bill of rights’ for the city, but Governor Bruce Rauner quickly shut that down.

Emmanuel responded to President Trump’s order to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals(DACA) program by stating that the city is a supposed ‘Trump free zone’. And again, Governor Rauner denied it.

“I do not believe this challenge for these children can be addressed on a state-by-state basis,” Rauner said. “I think that would not be correct, would not be the right solution. We need a comprehensive immigration reform. It should be done on the federal level for the entire nation, and it should be done by Congress.”

Illinois is one of fifteen states that is suing President Trump over the repeal of DACA, saying it is unconstitutional. But the suit will not be going anywhere, because the DACA program was ordered by President Obama through unconstitutional methods.

There is no doubt that DACA must end. To keep allowing government and tax-payer resources to pay for illegals to be here is a wasteful shame.

Emmanuel obviously has not seen the damage the roughly eight hundred thousand illegal kids have left on the American economy. But President Trump is not sending this kids packing immediately. He is giving Congress six months to come up with a plan and find an amicable solution. But chances of that making its way through both chambers of Congress are very slim.

Mayor Emmanuel is off his rocker to think that he can create a ‘Trump free zone’. Governor Rauner didn’t do any favors by making Illinois a ‘sanctuary state,’ but at least he understands this ‘Trump-free zone’ is outlandish.
