CNN’s Jim Acosta did another one of his tirades that he likes to do at the White House Press Secretary’s, serving up his usual liberal talking points and asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders questions about the possible involvement of George Papadopoulos and the Russians. But Sanders shuts down his remarks with a simple statement, reports PJ media.
Acosta begins by asking how the White House can deny and relationship with Papadopoulos and Trump when there is a photo of the two sitting together at a table when Trump was just a presidential candidate.
To that Sanders expertly responds that just because Trump sits at a table with someone, doesn’t mean he is involved with some kind of connection to the Russian government.
Sanders also defends that there were many volunteers and supporters for Trump while on his campaign, and have a conversation at a table hardly qualifies as a “regular advisor.”
“The president has thousands of photographs with millions of people,” Sanders said, showing how obviously ridiculous his line of questions is.
Costa continues to push on the possible relationship between Papadopoulos and Trump and asks why the White House won’t officially call it “collusion.” Costa tries to connect this instance to the emails that Donald Trump Jr. sent a Russian lawyer during the Trump campaign, that promised to give dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Sanders wastes no time in taking down this absurd line of questions as well.
“This individual was a member of a volunteer advisory council that met one time over the course of a year. He was a part of a list that was read out in the Washington Post, and I’d hardly call that some sort of regular advisor, or how you would like to push, that he is some sort of senior member of the staff. He was not paid by the campaign and he was a volunteer.”
Papadopoulos wasn’t hired by the Trump campaign to look into working with Russians to dig dirt up on Hillary Clinton but was a simple volunteer as were many others on Trump’s campaign network.
What CNN and the other liberal media would like to overlook, however, is the fact the Hillary Clinton and the DNC have been proven to have funded the Russian dossier that is at the heart of all these questions and is what Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been paying investigating.
