In a 2007 blog post written by MSNBC host Joy Reid on the feud between TV host Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump, Reid defends Trump, who was not president at the time, and fat-shames O’Donnell, reports the Daily Wire.
The liberal weighed in on the celebrity quarrel in a Jan. 9 blog post in 2007. Trump had called O’Donnell, a host on “The View,” “a real loser,” a “slob” with a “fat, ugly face,” and “fat little Rosie.”
Reid was Team Trump, rhetorically asking when the host would be off the air.
“How much longer until that chubbed-out shrew Rosie O’Donnell gets her fat ass canned by Babwa?” Reid asked, referring to “Babwa” as “The View” co-host Barbara Walters.
“How much longer will the freak show that is ‘The View’ continue to darken our television screens?” she continued. “How much more kick-ass funny can Donald Trump be???”
Reid openly confessed her support for Donald Trump, saying that she was not neutral in the debate, unlike Walters.
“Barbara has publicly denied taking sides in the fued [sic] (unlike myself … I’m for square for The Donald on this one…) but Trump continues to insist that she is anything but neutral,” she wrote.
Reid and her legal team claim that the “homophobic, transphobic, sexist and bigoted” blog posts were “fabricated” by hackers.
The Free Beacon’s Alex Griswold states that the Library of Congress archived Reid’s post shortly after it was posted.
“The Library of Congress archived Reid’s now-defunct blog post on January 14th, 2007 at 06:52 AM ET,” Griswold says. “If Reid’s website was indeed hacked as she now claims, the hacker would’ve had to target her site over a decade ago.”
The Left, along with leftwing MSNBC, has continued to stand by Reid, even with her homotransphobicsexism comments. With past pro-Trump evidence surfacing, this may finally leave the Left with no choice but to turn against her.
