In a heated and awkward discussions White House press secretary Sarah Sanders took CNN’s Chris Cuomo to task over his reporting of his own opinions and disguising it as news. Sanders tried to discuss the strong economy under the leadership of President Trump but Cuomo was more interested in settling scores. So Sanders took him to task.
At one point Sanders tells him, “unfortunately, you guys quit reporting the news.”
The Daily Caller has the play-by-play:
“Do you think that by saying, ‘We stink,’ that we don’t like veterans, that we are bad for America, the president says we are enemies of America, do you think that that works for you long-term?” Cuomo asked.
“What I think is important to remember is that you guys get to ask the questions, but you can’t always complain about the answers,” Sanders shot back. “You constantly ask the same question over and over and over again and expect different answers and then get mad when the answers don’t change.”
Sanders continued to criticize CNN and alleged that they have avoided reporting the news in order to constantly attack the president. (RELATED: CNN Reporters Shirk Responsibility For Melania Conspiracies)
“Unfortunately, you guys quit reporting the news. When I can read a news story and I have no idea what side of the story the reporter is on, that’s a good news story,” she said. “You’ll be hard-pressed to find a lot of news that looks like that.”
Cuomo did not like it when Sanders told him that he was an opinion journalist. He then bizarrely claimed that Sanders does not answer questions to her about the Trump Administration.
“I answer questions all day, every day,” Sanders responded. “It’s what I spend every minute of the day doing. It’s why I’m sitting here at 9 o’clock at night answering questions to you.”
The reason people hate the news media, largely in part, is because so many of them claim they’re unbiased purveyors of truth. But in reality they’re disgusting their opinions, poorly I might add, as fact. Chris Cuomo is one of the worst offenders. Heck, even people that LIKE him know he’s as biased as it gets. If he, and others like him, just admitted they were opinion journalists then there wouldn’t be as much anger at the media. Everyone agrees you’re entitled to your own point of view, just be honest about it.
